Parsi Jewellery mostly includes those used by the Parsi ladies to decorate themselves. The Parsi ladies own jewellery worth from five hundred to twenty thousand pounds sterling. There wear various types of jewellery in different occasions.
The ladies of this community wear on their wrists glass, gold, or jeweled bangles. Gold or jeweled bangles are worn by the Parsi ladies more frequently on some special or festive occasions. There however do always wear the glass bangles and this denotes the fact that the concerned lady is not a widow which is somewhat similar to that which is followed by the Hindu ladies. In imitation of Mohammedan and Hindu women, the Parsi ladies were, until the last generation, continued to wearing nose rings. This ornament was constructed by three pearls in a gold ring but in recent time they also wear nose rings of contemporary designs.
