Kerala was supposed to receive 7.25 TMC feet of water per year from the Parambikulam Aliyar Project, including Parambikulam Dam. This was decided in the inter-state agreement between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. However, in 2004 Kerala did not receive any water in the month of February.
