Neha Kapur, also spelled as Neha Kapoor, is an Indian model. She won Femina Miss India contest in 2006 and represented India at the Miss Universe pageant that year. She is a trained Bharatanatyam and Kathak dancer.
Early Life of Neha Kapur
She was born on 31st March 1984 in New Delhi, India. Her father is from Punjab and mother from Bihar. She has two older brothers. She received her degree in fashion design from the Pearl Academy. Neha started learning classical dance forms at a very young age. She has four years of training in Bharatanatyam and eight years in Kathak.
Career of Neha Kapur
Neha started her career with modelling at the age of 14. In 2006 she participated in Femina Miss India Universe 2006 and turned out to be the winner. At the pageant she also bagged titles like Femina Miss Fresh Face and Femina Miss Photogenic. In the same year, represented India at the Miss Universe pageant held in Los Angeles, California, United States. However, she failed to become the third Miss Universe from India but made the semis to the top 20 and competed in the swimsuit competition. She has established herself as one of the top models in India and is associated with Elite Model Management.
Personal Life of Neha Kapur
Neha tied the knot with actor Kunal Nayyar in December 2011. Kunal is known for his portrayal of astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali in the comedy serial The Big Bang Theory.
