This diploma also makes the candidates eligible for appointment as teachers in various colleges and universities of the country and they can also apply for further Ph. D programmes. This Diploma in Dramatic Arts has been recognised by the Government of India.

Pattern of National School of Drama (NSD) screening test
National School of Drama (NSD) screening test is conducted in two stages and they are -
Stage I: In this first stage, the screening consists of an audition or a practical test of the aspirants at the four centres of the institute that are in Delhi, Kolkata, Bangaluru and Mumbai.
Stage II: At this phase, the candidates who successfully clear the first round need to go through a 3 to 5 days workshop organized on the campus of NSD, New Delhi.
