National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC)National Film Development Corporation of India is the central agency established to encourage the good cinema movement in the country. The primary goal of the NFDC is to plan, promote and organize an integrated and efficient development of the Indian film industry and foster excellence in cinema. Over the years NFDC has provided a wide range of services essential to the growth of Indian cinema. The NFDC (and its predecessor the Film Finance Corporation) has so far funded/produced over 300 films. These films, in various Indian languages, have been widely acclaimed and have won many national and international awards.

* Film Finance and Production: NFDC finances and produces quality films with artistic excellence, social relevance, creativity in form. Import and Distribution of films: NFDC imports good, commercial and artistic films from world over and distributes these in India through various channels such as theatres, video, satellite and television. NFDC`s Film Centre in Kolkata provides production and post- production infrastructure consisting of 16mm camera, tape recorders for synchronous shooting, editing tables, re-recording equipments etc. at reasonable rates. The Film Centre is equipped with the latest type of electronic microprocessor controlled projector for the 16mm as well as 35mm format. The Video Centre in Chennai provides facilities for preparation of U-matic Masters from 16mm and 35mm films and also duplication of cassettes.

NFDC also offers wide range of technical services for all requirements of film / video preproduction and post production with the state of art equipments conveniently located at vital centres all over India.
