National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University of Law, Hyderabad, Andhra PradeshNational Academy of Legal Studies and Research University of was established by an act of Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly. It is located in Shamirpet in Hyderabad. It is a residential University. It conducts five courses including B.A., LL.B (Hons.), LL.M, Post Graduate Diploma Courses, and PhD to promote research work in Legal Studies. It has three research centres including Dr. N.C. Banerjee Centre for Intellectual Property Law Studies, M.K. Nambiyar SAARC Law Research Centre and Dr. S.P. Chatterjee Centre for Environmental Law Studies. Several research works of this University received international acclaim.

The law school is divided into five distinct precincts: Administrative Block, residential block, sports complex and miscellaneous structures include the commemorative `Keerthi Stambh` and a copy of `The Thinker` by Auguste Rodin.

NALSAR houses seven research centres:

* Dr. S.P. Chatterjee Centre for Environmental Law Studies
* Centre for Disability Studies
* Centre for Corporate Law and Governance

The university offers B.A.LL.B, LL.M, M.Phil and Ph.D.
