Narayandas Malkani was one of the prominent Indian freedom fighters who fought against the rule of the British Empire in India and greatly contributed to the Indian freedom struggle.

Narayandas Malkani, also known N. R. Malkani, was one of the prominent Indian freedom fighters who fought against the rule of the British Empire in India and greatly contributed to the Indian freedom struggle. He was also a much reputed social worker and an academic by profession. Narayandas Malkani was the eldest brother of Kewalram Ratanmal Malkani or K. R. Malkani who served as the as the Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Pondicherry. He was born in the year 1890 in Sindh. He served as a member of Rajya Sabha for two separate terms.

Later Malkani left his academic profession, and became a member of the Indian National Congress Party. He joined Mahatma Gandhi and became his close associates. Narayandas Malkani eventually took up constructive work in Sindh. He also helped in influencing Allah Baksh (Allah Bux) in favor of the Indian National Congress and introduced the Party to Pir Pagaro of the Hurs.

Narayandas Malkani or N. R. Malkani was honoured with the Padma Bhushan Award, the third highest civilian award in the Republic of India, in the year 1973 by Government of India. He died in the year 1974.
