This ancient book is written in a form of narration. Narada narrates to Sanatkumara the dharmas of Brhatkalpa. It says that if this is gifted in the Asvina month and on a full moon day then there will be an immense prosperity. It is a book that contains twenty five thousand verses. Other than this, this Purana embodies abridgment of everything. It describes the Jagannatha Puri, Dwaraka, Badrinatha, etc.
