Namgyalma Stupa is a Buddhist monument, which was built to commemorate the Tibet freedom fighters. The Stupa is situated at a distance of 3 km from Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh. Namgyalma Stupa is a dome-shaped construction containing the remains of Gautama Buddha. The Stupa has a huge shrine of Sakyamuni Buddha in it. Namgyalma Stupa was designed resembling the structure built during the 3rd century BC by King Ashoka. It is carved out of sandstone.

It is a belief among Tibetans that anything that falls on the Namgyalma Stupa gets purified. Some believe that rain water falling on the Stupa is a blessing. It is also believed that a visit to the Namgyalma Stupa cleanses any bad karma that exists in the soul. The Stupa is surrounded by a number of prayer wheels. Tibetan worshipers roam around the wheels while reciting prayers.

Namgyalma Stupa is located at a distance of 3 km from Dharamshala and 6 km from McLeod Ganj at Uparli Barol. Kangra airport and Kangra railway station are the nearest to the stupa.
