Naggar Castle, Himachal PradeshNaggar Castle, a medieval castle, is located in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. It was built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu in 1460 A.D. In the year 1978, it has been under the control of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) to turn it into a heritage hotel.

History of Naggar Castle
According to legends, Raja Sidh Singh used stones to build the fort from the abandoned palace of Rana Bhonsal. He ordered the labourers to form a human chain over the Beas River connecting its left and right banks to transfer the stones manually. The castle survived the earthquake of 1905. Its earthquake-proof technique helped it to sustain the calamity.
