In the year 1970, Mulund College of Commerce (MCC) was started by the Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association keeping the axiom as `Knowledge is Power`. This private institution is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Further and Higher Education in India. This college offers post graduate and under graduate courses in business. Here one can also opt for courses in the field of management. This college of commerce is affiliated to the University of Mumbai.

History of Mulund College
The Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association is running several educational institutes in the city of Mumbai from the year 1921 and in the year 1970 this association started the Mulund College of Commerce where educational service for commerce aspirants is exclusively provided. In the year 1976, its Junior College was established. The year 1980, marked the establishment of the Postgraduate teaching centre for Masters in Commerce under the Department of Commerce.

Courses Offered at Mulund College
Commerce, Business management, Economics, Law, Computer Science and Information Technology are the subjects which are taught in this College. Mulund College of Commerce also offers Professional Education Course I which can be availed by those who have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Examination or 10+2 and Professional Education Course II can be availed by graduates in Commerce with 50 percent marks. Apart from commerce graduates with subjects other than Mathematics, having 55 percent marks, and non-commerce graduates having Mathematics with 60 percent marks, are relieved from the Professional Education course I, and are directly allowed to enrol in the Professional Education course II and the Final Course. The Placement Cell of the college is also very active as every year some of the best companies visit this college for Campus Recruitment. In order to apply for admission into the Mulund College of Commerce, the applicant needs to collect an application form by cash payment from the College Admission Department. The Selection of the Candidate is based on merit, written admission test and personal interview.

Infrastructure of Mulund College
