Mukul Kesavan is one of the well-known English language writers of India in recent times. He is the teacher of history in Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi.His first book"Looking Through Glass" appeared in 1994.It bacame a best-seller and received several critical literary acclaims.

Though he is the teacher of history ,he likes to write about cricket much. Kesavan`s cricket based `Men in White` - was published by Penguin India in 2007. He is a coloumnist of The Telegraph, Outlook Magazine and other newspapers.He is also the co-editor Civil Lines, the journal of new Indian writing.
