Early Life of Mukesh Khanna
Mukesh Khanna was born on 23rd June 1958 in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra. He did his graduation from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). During his schooling he studied with fellow Indian actors Shakti Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah.

Career of Mukesh Khanna
Mukesh Khanna began his acting career with the film industry in the year 1982 where he entered after graduating from FTII. Simultaneously he also ventured into Indian television. He garnered popularity for essaying the role of Bhishma in B. R. Chopra`s Mahabharat. This also remains his one of the most remembered roles till date. He further rose to fame with his appearance as an Indian Superhero in the television series Shaktimaan. The show became hugely successful among children all over the country. He also acted in the television series titled Aryamaan - Brahmaand Ka Yodha, aired on Toon Disney in India, in which he played the title role. He also starred in a television series called Waqt Bataye Ga. In a number of television projects as well as films, Mukesh Khanna has appeared in the role of a police inspector. Bollywood flick Hera Pheri is one such movie among others. He was seen in flicks like Tahalka and International Khiladi and in the movie Barsaat he played the role of Bobby Deol`s father.

Other Ventures of Mukesh Khanna
Apart from films, Mukesh Khanna has also been associated with social activities. He partook in a government funded project titled Shaktimaan which focused on child development. The aim of the project was to prevent malnutrition, mother-child mortality rate and anaemia in girls along with creating health awareness. He also runs two acting schools located in Agra and Jaipur. He has also collaborated for a three-month acting course with his former acting school, Film and Television Institute of India.
