Mukesh Bhatt, Indian Movie ProducerMukesh Bhatt is a prominent Indian film producer, recognized for producing a number of successful films in Hindi language. He is the co-owner of the production company titled Vishesh Films, established in the year 1986, along with his brother Mahesh Bhatt. Although his first film as a producer, "Jurm", could not achieve success at the box office, his following ventures established his company amongst the top production houses. He has worked with a number of renowned Indian film actors gaining immense success.

Early Life of Mukesh Bhatt
Mukesh Bhatt was born on 5th June 1952 to Nanabhai Bhatt (1915-1999), a famous Bollywood film director and producer. His mother was a Muslim whereas his father was a Gujarati Hindu Brahmin. His uncle Balwant Bhatt (1909-1965) was also associated with the Hindi film industry as a director. Bollywood actresses Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt are the nieces of Mukesh Bhatt and Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is his nephew.

Career of Mukesh Bhatt
Mukesh Bhatt began his career as a film producer with the 1990 Bollywood film Jurm starring Vinod Khanna. The movie was however not much successful. Subsequently he collaborated with Gulshan Kumar for producing romantic musical drama Aashiqui in the same year. The movie featured debutantes Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal in the lead roles and was directed by his brother Mahesh Bhatt. Aashiqui was a huge commercial success and became one of the highest grossing films of 1990. Following this, most of the films produced by Mukesh Bhatt became big hits including Sadak and Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin which released under the banner of Vishesh Films. Most of the films starred Puja Bhatt alongside popular actors like Sanjay Dutt, Aamir Khan and others.

In the following years Mukesh Bhatt went on to produce films like Fareb, Criminal and Naajayaz. In 1998 he produced the film Ghulam starring Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherjee which marked another success. 1999 film Sangharsh featuring Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta received critical appreciations. His horror flicks Raaz followed by its sequel Raaz - The Mystery Continues also received positive reviews. Mukesh Bhatt introduced his nephew Emraan Hashmi on the silver screen in the year 2004 with the film Footpath alongside Bipasha Basu. Other successful ventures of Mukesh Bhatt include Crook, Tum Mile, Jannat, Woh Lamhe, Gangster, Kalyug, Zeher and many more. He has also received nominations in various Indian film awards for his films. He produced Bollywood movie "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" along with his brother Mahesh Bhatt in 2015 with Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan in leading roles. This commercial movie is based on the love story of Mukesh Bhatt`s parents, Nanabhai Bhatt, Shirin Mohammad Ali and his stepmother.

Personal Life of Mukesh Bhatt
