In Mother"s Wax Museum India, there are now 19 life size wax statues of famous personalities like Kavi Nazrul Islam, Rabindranath Tagore, Mamata Banerjee and the Bollywood personalities like Amithabh Bachhan and Shahrukh Khan.
The statues of the Mother"s Wax Museum India of Kolkata are erected by the veteran wax sculptor of Bengal, Susanta Ray. Susanta Ray is a gold medallist from Indian Art College, Kolkata in the year 1980. Other wax statues in Wax Museum India of Kolkata are Mithun Chakraborty, Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar. One can also find the wax statues of famous Bengali film stalwarts Suchitra Sen and Uttam Kumar. The statue of famous Bengali colonial scientist Jagdish Chandra Bose, who is also sharing space with sporting legends Diego Maradona and Sourav Ganguly. Foundation of Mother"s Wax Museum India of Kolkata
Mother"s Wax Museum India of Kolkata was inaugurated on 10th November 2014, after a year of work, by the West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBHIDCO). Now Mother"s Wax Museum India of Kolkata has no dedicated website and hardly any publicity campaign was run prior to the inauguration.
