Miramar Beach, GoaMiramar Beach is also known as `Gasper Dias`. It is a lovely golden beach of soft sand girdled with palm trees facing the blue Arabian Sea and is nearby to Panjim. Miramar is a built-up beach where the Mandovi River meets the Arabian Sea. Miramar Beach is one of the most well-liked Beaches of Goa. It is very much commercialized with a large number of hotels and private homes. It is famous for nature lovers, fun lovers and adventure seekers. Miramar Beach in Goa starts at the gulf and then culminates in the Emerald Coast Parkway.

Location of Miramar Beach
Miramar Beach is located in the Capital of Goa. Miramar Beach is situated 1 kilometre ahead of the meeting point of Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea. It is situated on the way towards Dona Paula beach and is about 3 kilometres from Panjim.

Things to do in Miramar Beach
Miramar Beach has a lot of entertainment for the tourists and visitors. The soft sand of the beach makes it one of the best sites for evening walks in Goa. Tourists can experience the glimpse of the meeting of the Arabian Sea and the River Mandovi from the Miramar Beach at Goa. The thick grove of shady palms forms a dense shelter over the area. Miramar Beach of Goa has a 2 kilometres long coast and silvery sand. The silver sands of the beach are said to sparkle in the moonlight. Another attraction nearby of Miramar Beach is Aguada Fort and provides a panoramic view of the Aguada fort, which is known for its peaceful surroundings and solitude.

One more attraction nearby of Miramar Beach is the Cabo Raj Bhavan Hillock which is famous for the adventure sports. Tourists can visit Dhempe College of Arts and Science, the memorial to Goa`s first chief minister and other places that are worth a visit. The coastal wintering grounds attract various species of migratory birds like Plovers and Gulls. These birds come back to Miramar beach in winter, as it gives them a brief break from the harsh winter. Migratory birds can find in plenty number of foods in the form of aquatic invertebrates, seeds and insects. The best time to visit the Miramar Beach is between the months of November and March.

Visiting Information of Miramar Beach
After reaching at Panjim by Dabolim Airport, Goa, visitors can then easily reach by foot to Miramar beach. One can also hire a taxi or take a local bus to reach the beach. The nearest railway station is Karmali Railway Station about 12 kilometres away. Other railway stations are Margao and Vasco Da Gama railway stations. The bus stand is just 3 kilometres from the beach. It takes only 15 minutes to reach the beach by bus from the city.
