Early Life of Mehboob Alam Khan
Mehboob Alam Khan was born in Hyderabad in a noble family. He did his schooling from St. George"s Grammar School. Born into a family with regal background, Khan grew up in a household with a kitchen that fostered traditional ideas of cooking as well as ideas brought in from other regions across the country and the globe. Typically, the kitchen housed chefs from Goa, Mughlai and Khansama to cater to continental, Mughlai and Hyderabadi food preparations respectively. Mehboob Alam Khan indulged casually in cooking as a teenager and grew more conscious and serious about it after witnessing the event of fading away of traditions by the passage of time.

Mehboob Alam Khan"s family owns Hyderabad Deccan Cigarette Factory in Hyderabad. He is the director of Anwar-uloom educational society.

Mehboob Alam Khan researched on the Hyderabadi cuisine for many years. He works as a consultant for Taj Group of Hotels. He also works with the government for their state dinners.

Major Achievements of Mehboob Alam Khan
Khan held distinguished positions in several state undertakings. Presently he holds an office in the board of a premier group of educational institutions in Hyderabad besides being a food consultant for the government for hosting honorary state buffets and for the Taj group of hotels.
