Meguti Jain temple is an incomplete shrine that is perched above a small hill. It represents the early development of the Dravidian style architecture. It is built without mortar. It is built on a raised platform with a flight of steps that leads to large, pillared mukhamandapa.
The superstructure that is built above the sanctum wall of the temple has been built at a later date. The sixteen column porch and hall extension are also later additions. The inscription which dates this temple accurately can be found on one of the outer walls of the temple. According to the inscription it was constructed by Ravikeerti who was a commander & minister of Pulakesin II.
