Mayang Imphal is a `panchayat town` situated in Imphal West district of the northeastern state of Manipur. The neighbouring towns are Wabagai at a distance of 10 kms. Lauiangdong at a distance of 14 kms. Buri Bazar at a distance of 14 kms. Thanga at a distance of 14 kms and Tulihal at a distance of 15 kms. The major access point is the Imphal Airport in the south of Mayang Imphal at a distance of 16 kms. Thoubal - Mayang Imphal Road, which passes through this town, is an important road communication. Situated around the Loktak Lake wetland system, the Thoubal River joins Imphal River at Irong near Mayang Imphal.
