These seven freedom fighters were shot dead when they were about to hoist the national flag of India. Martyr`s Memorial of Bihar is a modern sculpture depicting explicitly the struggle of the freedom fighters and the courage that they have shown. These freedom fighters were not bothered even about their lives and did everything that was needed for their motherland.

This sculpture shows as a remembrance of the Quit India Movement that was held in the year 1942. This movement is also known as the August Movement. Martyr`s Memorial of Bihar is actually a memorial to the seven great freedom fighters who laid down their lives at the Quit India Movement of 1942 to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi`s objective for prompt independence of India. He actually tried to bring the British government to a status of negotiation. Martyr`s Memorial of Bihar is a salute to the Father of the nation and his nation. It is also a reverence of the free Indian citizen to the patriots, for whom the Indians are leading a good and simple lifestyle.
