Manjhar is one of the most beautiful villages nestled in the Bihar state of India. It is situated in Sherghati Block of Gaya district in Bihar. This village looks like an imaginary land free of all the hustle and bustle of urban life. It is a peaceful place where people of all casts and races live in harmony. The closest railway station of Manjhar is Gaya.

According to Population Census 2011, Manjhar had population of 845 of which males were 439 and females were 406. The population of children with age 0-6 was 170. The town had higher literacy rate compared to Bihar. In 2011, literacy rate of Manjhar village was 71.26 % compared to 61.80 % of Bihar. The male literacy was 78.67 % and female literacy was 62.74 %.

The village of Manjhar is known for several festivals which it celebrates with great grandeur. Amongst all, Dussehra is the main festival which sees participation of people in large number. Saraswati Puja of this village is very famous since the past 60 years. Other festivals like Chhath Puja, Holi and Diwali are also celebrated with equal enthusiasm.

Manjhar is responsible for production of many actors and singers like Shyam Sunder Vyas, Naga Das, Ramshankar Das (Pagal Das) and many others. This village is also a hub of dancers like Prabhu ji, Bala or Jilebia and Dayal Ray.
