Manish GoelThe life of Manish Goel is a typical filmi story depicting a boy running away from home to the `city of dreams` with stars in his eyes to make it big in the so-called bad world of glamour. His journey to the entertainment world started at the tender age of nine when he received an award for a role in an inter-school competition.

He completed his schooling from Father Angel School. From his school he got the encouragement he participated in extra curricular activities like mono acting, dance charades and dance competitions. From that age he started to dream about being a film star. He started going to the gym, always imagining his name to be amongst the top names in tinselville. He did not get much encouragement from his parents and soon his dreams started to frustrate him. After his twelfth boards he ran off to Mumbai with an uncle. His parents had no idea, as he lied to them saying that he would put up in a friend`s place for three days. When his father came to know the truth he did not get hyper and encouraged him more by enrolling him the Asha Chandra Institute of Acting and went back to his hometown. Unfortunately he could not complete the course there but managed to get his portfolio done.

After this Manish Goel was taken to Anand Mahendroo who was planning a new serial and he joined him as an assistant. But soon after he was left dejected by the unhealthy working conditions there and returned to his hometown. He completed a one-year course in interior decoration by the suggestion of his father but still yearned to become an actor. Soon after he started going for training in horse riding, gym and dance.

As his dad still had hopes on him the financial support was still persisting. This further encouraged him to enroll himself in the Stardustv `Want to be an actor?` batch. Luckily this time he sailed through all the rounds and was put up at Nari Hira`s bungalow in Madh Island along with other contestants with the best of boarding and lodging facilities. In the Stardust batch all of them were put under Kishor Namit Kapoor who would throw up situations and ask them to react under the following. Then he would also correct them and ask them to improvise. This helped him to learn all the basics of acting and a subsequent article in Stardust he signed up with four film producers K.C.Bokadia, Rajat Rawail, Deepak Shivdasani and Pammi Sandhu. Unfortunately none of these projects took off and every time he called up a producer he was rejected by saying that the market for newcomers was diminishing.

Manish Goel Following that he was called by Gurudev Bhalla who is also the director of the soap `Bhabhi` for a film titled `Shararat` which later went to Abhishek Bachhan. Luckily the signing amount of Rs.70, 000, which he received while signing the four films earlier, helped him to stay afloat. Subsequently he went to Manish Goswami to ask for a role but he was turned down. For a while he dabbled a bit in the music video `Jassi`s Kudi`. Soon after under the supervision of Mona Irani he also did a few commercials like Lipton, Ponds etc. he also acted in a crowd in `Just Mohabbat`, ` Hip Hip Hurray`, `C.I.D.`, `Aahat` and `Yeh hai Raaz`. Along the way Tony Singh signed him for a role in `Just Mohabbat`, which fetched him, 1000 bucks per day. This role gave him proper coverage and footage. Soon after Aruna Irani signed him for `Mehendi Tere Naam Ki` but again his wheel got clogged as he was dropped at the last moment.

The major turning point in his career came when Ekta Kapoor who had noticed him in the `Jassi Kudi` video called him up. She casted him in Bandhan, which fetched him 2000, bucks per day. From the seventy episodes his role was increased to 70 episodes in the very first day. After his role in `Bandhan` got over he was casted in the popular soap `Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki`. Soon after this he found himself in `Ghar Ek Mandir` and `Kuch Khona Hai Kuch Pana Hai`.

Unfortunately the latter one did not see the light of the day. After that he received a call from Aruna Irani again and got casted in `Mehendi Tere Naam Ki` opposite Urvashi Dholakia. After that `Kasautii Zindagii Ki` came his way. It gave him a lot of good professionally and personally. He met the love of his real life Poonam Narula in this soap and later tied the knot with her as well. It was in fact his mother`s initiative, which made his reel life love become true in real life as well. Soon after marriage he signed `Saara Akaash` and following that he signed `Bhabhi` which at once shot him to the limelight.

This actor feels that to some extent creativity is sacrificed in television and some of the incidents disappointed him to a terrible extent but he did not loose hope at any point of time. He is a spontaneous actor. Kiran Karmarkar and Ali Asgar are two actors on the small screen who tops his list of inspirations as he claims that nobody can imitate them. He is still not content as he states that life is a long journey and nobody can be satisfied after achieving his initial goal. He still hopes of making it big in Bollywood and believes that he will get his fair share of chances and not disappoint his producer and fans. He does not want to make a conscious effort of making his debut as a hero of the film but to see himself in a role, which will stay in the memory of the audiences for a long span. This extremely talented actor will go a long way with the best wishes of family and fans always supporting and encouraging him.
