Mandore Garden, Jodhpur, RajasthanLocated about 9 km north of Jodhpur in the city of Mandore, the gardens of Mandore are famous for its beautiful verdant gardens, exquisite architecture and royal cenotaphs. The Mandore Gardens are a part of the more massive Mehrangarh Fort, and also houses the famous Hall of Heroes and the shrine of 300 Million Gods. The garden also has a Government Museum, which is full of artefacts and old relics that have historical significance to the region. All of these attractions and exciting constituents of the Mandore garden attract tourists from all across the country.

Architecture of Mandore Garden
Mandore garden is popularly known for the dewals and cenotaphs which were built by the former rulers. Instead of following the typical style of Rajasthani Architecture these cenotaphs are built in the style of Hindu temples. There are four storeys, with fine columns and elegant spire, built in red sandstone. The most impressive among them is the dewal of Maharaja Ajit Singh. These cenotaphs are placed amongst the beautiful landscapes and the cenotaph of the Maharani is placed in the rocky outcrop of the hill.

The Hall of Heroes of the Mandore Garden is decorated with the statues of all the famous Rajput rulers and brave warriors, who stand as a reflection to the glorious past of Rajasthan. These statues are carved out of stone and painted in vibrant colours. Other than these, there is the shrine of the 300 Million Gods, with the brightly coloured images of the various Hindu Gods.

The Mandore Garden is easily available via roadways and the local transport in Jodhpur. The nearest railway station is at a mere distance of 9.5 km from the garden and the Jodhpur Airport is at a distance of 12 km from the Mandore Garden.
