Mandira Bedi, Indian TV ActressThe sweet and charming `Shanti` girl, Mandira Bedi has come a long way in her life to prove herself as a great actress. This extremely gifted actress was born on 15th April 1972 in Kolkata to Verinder Singh Bedi and Gita Bedi and was brought up in the tinsel town. She completed her education from Cathedral and John Connnon School in Mumbai and did her Graduation in economics from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai followed by a post graduation in Media from Sophia Polytech. She is married to an Indian movie director Raj Kaushal in the year 1999 on 14 February.

Mandira catapulted to fame with the much talked about cricket show `Extra Innings`. She essayed the role of a cute lady with `next-door` girl looks in the Bollywood chartbuster `Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge`, where she was shown to be head over heels in love with ShahRukh Khan. She acted in and as Meera in Meerabai not out" a cricket based feature film produced by PNC and Sony pictures which released in September 2008. She was also seen in the most popular Balaji daily `Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi` in the character portrayal of Mihir`s obsessive lover and Karan`s mother Mandira.

Mandira Bedi has also anchored the musical talent hunt show `Fame Gurukul` in the year 2005. She also replaced Madhavan as the anchor of `Deal Ya No Deal`. She has posed as a model for several magazines like Femina, Maxim India, Prevention, GoodHousekeeping, and Cosmopolitan. She has also done many fashion features for magazines like Verve, Vogue India, Grazia, Elle and L`officielle. Mandira has been the brand ambassador for the women`s cricket team of India in the years 2004 and 2005.

Bedi has been the 1st and only female winner in the First season of Fear Factor India, in the Sony TV Channel. She has also endorsed for top companies like Asmi diamonds, South Africa Tourism, Leher Namkeen, Dabur Vatika, Sree Ganesh Jewelery house, Ebay India and Dettol extra, etc. She has even hosted shows for ICC Cricket World Cups in the Years 2003 and 2007 and the Champions Trophies in the years 2004 and 2006. She also remained the host of the IPL season 2 for SET Max. Apart from cricket she is also credited with hosting shows for top notch companies like Asian Paints, HSBC, Cartier, ICICI bank, ING Vysya, Anand Bazaar Patrika Group, Samsung, L&T, Deutshche Bank, BMW, Audi, LG, Canon, Citibank, Diageo, Accenture and many others. Currently Bedi is busy covering the ICC Cricket world Cup 2011 for an English News Channel Timesnow.
