There are several associations working for the management of Indian traditional sports and the associations can be classified in many ways. There are national associations for most of the Indian traditional sports and the national bodies are working in collaboration with the state or district level associations for the well being of their respective sports.

Government"s Attitude towards Traditional Sports of India
There are most of the national associations that are working for the management of Indian traditional sports are affiliated to the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The associations get various kinds of help like financial, administrative or infrastructural, from the Indian government. The associations also establish several other governing bodies at the district and state level so that they can manage the sport in the remotest areas. All the national, state and district associations organise various tournaments and conduct training programmes to bring up new talents from the grass route level.
