The management of Indian Chess has gained the reputation by bringing the Indian Chess in the global spectrum. The All India Chess Federation (AICF), an important part of the management of Indian chess, is the national body for governing and supervising all kinds of Chess related activities in India and it is being assisted by the regional associations
Function of Management
The management of Indian chess is based on numerous Chess associations in India at the district level, state level, and regional level or in the national level. These associations for the better management of Indian chess are working to bring up new talents from the grass route level. The associations organise different Chess tournaments so that the young talented Chess players get noticed.
They also conduct various kinds of workshops and training programmes to educate the young talents about the latest strategies and techniques of modern Chess. Some of the associations keep a constant eye on the budding Chess talents and nurture them by providing with sponsorships and other necessary facilities. For an effortless and structured management of Indian chess the state Chess associations organise regional Chess tournaments and the AICF organise the national Chess tournaments.
Apart from the AICF and the state Chess associations, there are also a large number of Chess clubs in India that are working for better management of Indian Chess. They are working in collaboration with the government organisations for the over all improvement of the Indian Chess scenario. Almost all the Indian states have their own Chess associations.
