Mallalli Falls, one of the prominent tourist destinations for nature lovers, is situated in the northern region of Kodagu District of Karnataka. It is around 265 km from Bengaluru. The Kumaradhara River is the main watercourse for this waterfall of Mallalli. It later flows through Kukke Subrahmanya and merges with the Netravati River. This river is the supporting point of Mangalore at Uppinangadi.
The climate in this region is generally cool and wet. The climate is that of a highland, with no extreme variations. It receives heavy rainfall between June and September. From October to December the area is covered with mist almost all the time. The water of Mallalli falls only during the monsoon season. There is no availability of water during the other seasons.
