The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College (MOSCMC) is a famous medical institution located in Kolenchery, in the district of Ernakulam in Kerala. The college was established with a view to achieve a large number of aims and objectives and its main objective was to care the sick and poor. The college came into existence in the year 1967 and started functioning with objectives of developing and uplifting the rural areas and facilities around Kolenchery. A well equipped hospital was also established in 1970, just three years after the inception of the medical college. The hospital is named as the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical Mission Hospital. The college and hospital are being run and managed by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, at the moment.

The college has a community health department that takes the facilities of the hospital into the community. The department does so through a network of peripheral health centers, resident nurses, health volunteers and local coordinating bodies. Apart from that, the college is also playing a vital role in the comprehensive development of the local community.

The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College (MOSCMC), Ernakulam offers several courses in different fields of medical science at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The main courses offered by the college include the undergraduate degree course of MBBS, and the other courses are DNB (Orthopaedics), DNB (Anaesthesia) and DNB (Obstetrics & Gynaecology). The college also offers some Fellowship Programmes in Neonatology. The main objective of the college is to make its students capable of working towards the physical and spiritual healing of humanity, to the best of their abilities.

There are a large number of departments in the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College (MOSCMC), Ernakulam and the departments are helping the management in many ways. The departments help both in offering medical education and providing quality treatment to the poor and marginalised. The super speciality departments of the college include the department of Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neuro Surgery, Neurology, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Urology, Surgical Oncology, and Neonatology. The major clinical departments of the college are the department of General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Anaesthesiology, Dentistry, E.N.T., Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Radio-diagnosis. Apart from them, there are also some pre-clinical departments in the college that include the department of Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, and Forensic Medicine.
