Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University, Madhya PradeshMaharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University is situated at the village of Karoundi in Katni district in Madhya Pradesh. The university also has a distance education centre that is located at Lamti village in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The university was established in the year 1995 and was named after the great spiritual leader Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who served as the first chancellor of this university. The University is recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as well. The MMYVU was Assembly and was inaugurated on 3rd October, 1995. Established as a statutory University it has earned significant reputation for spreading quality education.

It integrates the objective approach of modern science with the subjective approach of Vedic Science. It tries to bring fulfilment to the unfulfilled objective approach of Science, Arts and Commerce, by offering Maharishi`s education system based on the principles of Vedic Science, Consciousness and Atma.

Courses offered by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University
The university offers various graduate and postgraduate courses ranging from Parichaya to Vidya Varadhi levels in Vedic disciplines. It offers diploma and degree courses in management and vocational education. The main courses of the university include Post Graduate (Acharya), Graduate (Shastri) and Diploma (Praman Patra) programmes in subjects, like, Maharishi Ved Vigyan, Jyotish, Yog, Sthaptya Ved-Vastu Vidya and Vedic Swasthya Vidhan. The MMYVU also offers one-year diploma courses in various disciplines. The Certificate courses offered in the university include Maharishi Yog, Maharishi Jyotish, Maharishi Sthapta Ved (Vastu), Maharishi Vedic Swathya Vidhan, etc. The MMYVU offers two professional certificate courses named Modern Office Management and Dress Designing and Manufacturing as well.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University (MMYVU) conducts BBA and BCA programmes approved by Directorate of Technical Education M.P., since 1998. There is a full time B. Ed course offered in the Jabalpur campus of the university and this course is approved by the National Council of Teachers Education (NCTE). Apart from these it also offers D. Ed and B.P. Ed courses from 2007 as well. All the courses of this university are focussed on Transcendental Meditation, Yoga Science, Vedic Science, Vedic Literature and Ancient Languages. The courses in MMYVU are offered in mediums like Hindi and English.

The distance study centres of the university are located in Lamti, Vijay Nagar and Jabalpur.
