Naming of Mahaparinirvan Express
Mahaparinirvan Express gets its name from the Mahaparinirvana of Gautama Buddha. This is a sacred journey which includes visit of Gautama Buddha to various important Buddhist pilgrimage sites, such as Lumbini, Bodhgaya, Varanasi and Kushinagar.
