Mahadev Temple, Pali , ChattisgarhThis Shiva Temple known as Mahadev Temple is mostly ruined over the year and currently on an eight angled dome like structure is remaining. This was believed to be the door of this temple. The outer windows of the temple are carved with Khajuraho style sculptures

There are remains of a mahamandap area which now looks slack after destroying though it could be made out that this area is supported by half pillars. The dome of the Mahamandap is decorated with a series of circular carvings. The dome is of semi-circular shape. There is also a sculpture of woman sitting in a folded hand posture. Below these circular carvings there is an eight angle figure, which geometrically resemble a lotus.

The work at the entrance of the central hall also is done in details. In the stone inscriptions found, there is reference of King Jajalwa Dev. Though the message in the inscription is not clear anymore, it is believed that King Jajalwa Dev of Ratanpur dynasty must have carried out the construction of this temple. However, within the altar of the temple, there is also a inscriptions on the wall indicating that the temple was constructed by Vikramaditya.
