Langthabal is one of the most striking tourist spots in Manipur. It is located on a small hillock which was largely built to reveal the glorious history of Imphal.

Langthabal, ManipurLangthabal is located at a distance of 9 km from Imphal which provides an insight into the glorious history of Imphal. Situated tall on a hill Langthabal is popularly known for the relics of the historical palace, traditional dwellings and architecturally complex and accomplished temples of importance.

The place was created as a corridor surrounded with symmetric jackfruit and pine plantations. Langthabal is historically important because of its monuments which are preserved well by the Archaeological Survey of India. The hill overlooks the Manipur University campus which presents a mesmerizing view of the surroundings.

Thus mainly developed as a tourist spot this place looks very attractive with the pine wood forests and legendary historical monuments. While not much is known about the history of these monuments it definitely reveals the history of glorious past in Manipur.
