Location of Kutladampatti Falls
The waterfall is situated in the Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. The fall is located in the village of Kutladampatti close to Vadipatti. It is situated 8 km from Vadipatti and almost 30 km northwest of Madurai. Kutladampatti Falls is located in a reserve forest. This forest is maintained by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department.

The scenic beauty and peaceful environment are the main highlights of this waterfall. It is nestled amidst serene nature. It got its name from the village Kutladampatti, in which it is located. Kutladampatti Falls is almost 27 metres in height. The picturesque location is a treat to the eyes. Many Maduraiites spend their weekends at these falls. Several construction works have been initiated to boost up tourism here. Pavements and steps have been built by the local administration that leads to the falls. The ideal time to visit this waterfall is during the months from September to February. However, the waterfall goes dry in the summer or in the absence of rain.

The nearby attraction of the waterfall is Swami Ramanagiri Ashram. Surrounded by mango farms, the Ashram is located in the downhill. The ashram also has various shrines and is a home to peacocks. The ashram is considered as an ideal location for meditation.

Kutladampatti Falls is well connected by different modes of transport. Tourists from Madurai can take a direct bus from the Periyar bus stand. Tourists may also visit the spot via Vadipatti, traveling by bus. One can also avail the State Mini bus available from the Vadipatti bus stand.
