Location of Kurangani
Kurangani is a South Indian hill station located in the Western Ghats Mountain Range in India. This hill station has many view points as it is located in Western Ghats. This hill station is easily accessed from Bodinayakkanur in Tamil Nadu. It has estates growing coconut, mangos, all spices and coffee. There is a mountain rivulet that passes between Kurangani Mountains in the east and Kozhukkumalai in the west.

Climate of Kurabgani
The climate of Kurabgani are characterised by frequently-changing weather, low-hanging clouds, cold atmosphere and strong winds, and are home to a wide range of flora and fauna. It takes four to five hours to complete the trek from Kurangani village, the foothills area.

Tea Plantation in Kurabgani
From Kurangani Hills, one can easily reach to Munnar Hills and Kolukkumalai Hills, the highest hills for tea plantation in the world at an altitude, which is very close to 8,000 feet. The place is still not known in the tourism circuit. However, several foreign tourists do come here. Some nature lovers within the state also frequently visit Kurangani Hills.

Tourism in Kurabgani
Kurangani Hills in Theni district near Bodinayakanur is suitable for trekking and nature tourism. It is including the 12 kilomteres walk from Kurangani village to Top Station through Central village. The visit to Munnar in Kerala can also enter the trekking route of Kurabgani by walking down the dense woods and plain grasslands of Kurangani. By reaching Top Station, border of Theni district, from Munnar after 35 kilomters travelling, one can start trekking down the hills. The trekkers can find Samabalaru falls while visiting Kurabgani. The source of Kottakudi River which serves the drinking water needs of Bodinayakanur town, while wading through here. The central village of Kurabgani, with a population of 200 people and 50 houses, is four more kilometres from the Samabalaru falls.

Flora and Fauna in Kurabgani
Kurabgani also has a forest division, where one can see Indian gaurs, barking deer, langurs and wild cats, leopards and tigers. With all, Kurabgani acts as a hill station with a forest to have adventure tourism sectors.
