It is described in the Vishnu Purana that Kulatthas is the name of an original mountain tribes. They are referred as a ferocious and uncivilized race.
Some of the other northern Indian tribes are the Mlecchas, the Kruras, the Yavanas, the Chinas, the Kambojas, the Darunas, the Sukritvahas, the Hunas, and the Parasikas; the Ramanas, and the Dasamalikas.
