Krodha means `wrath`. He is the son of Mritha or Mrityu (death). In the Vishnu Purana Krodha is represented as an inflictor of misery, and one of the progeny of vice. He is also said to be a terrific form of Lord Vishnu, operating as a cause of the destruction of this world.
Some interpretations suggest a connection to the children of Brahma. However, the direct familial relationship is not explicitly defined as a son of Brahma in the most common interpretations. Krodha is one of the allegorical personages occurring in the list of Brahmas progeny amongst the series of 'virtues and vices'. It is is one of the arishadvargas or the six enemies of a human being, according to many Sanatana Dharma texts.
