History of Kriyetic Comics
Kriyetic Comics is the brainchild of Manojit Chattopadhyay who struggled a lot since the year 2004 in order to establish one of the first independent Comics studios in West Bengal. The aim was to develop the standard of comics, particularly in Bengal, along with spreading awareness about the medium and provide opportunities to new talents. But there was a dearth of Indian comics creators and proper comic artists as there were no proper training facilities to help understanding the medium properly. Also the contemporary comics culture in India didn`t directly encourage people to take up comics as a profession. Moreover, due to further technical problems, the venture was terminated.

Manojit Chattopadhyay conducted several workshops on comics in various colleges and institutes in West Bengal with the objective of spreading awareness about comics. During August 2006, he formed a new team with talented writers and illustrators, who created several stories and designed original characters for comics and animation. In 2007, he re-established Kriyetic Comics and the first issue of the re-invented Kriyetic were published in December 2007.
