Kriyetic Comics is one of the most prominent contemporary Indian comics that have significantly contributed to the development of the medium in the country. It is a Kolkata based Indian Comics magazine, established by Manojit Chattopadhyay in the year 2007. Kriyetic Comics is a part of Kriyetic Graphic Studios, managed by Manojit Chattopadhyay, who is an Aerospace Engineer from the Indian Institute of Science and also a Mechanical Engineer from National University of Singapore. Apart from publishing comics, the studio specializes in graphic art and design, animation, 3D modeling and graphic novels. Kriyetic started as a monthly comic magazine titled Kriyetic Comics (Comics for All), but gradually the publication developed and now produces their new publication Kriyetic Comics 100 Pages which features original stories on varied genres, written and illustrated by talented local, national and international artists.

The stories in the magazine constitutes of different themes that range from fantasy, humour, action, science fiction, horror, adventure to other stories for teens and children. The stories are represented through gripping plots, narrative panels, specials effects and graphic artworks that enhance the over all appeal of the magazine. Kriyetic Comics is published in Bengali and English. The publishing house also conducted a workshop on Manga and Origami that contributed in spreading awareness about the Comics medium. Kriyetic Comics aims at providing a platform for experienced and new Indian Comics creators to unite and improve the quality of Indian comics.

History of Kriyetic Comics
Kriyetic Comics is the brainchild of Manojit Chattopadhyay who struggled a lot since the year 2004 in order to establish one of the first independent Comics studios in West Bengal. The aim was to develop the standard of comics, particularly in Bengal, along with spreading awareness about the medium and provide opportunities to new talents. But there was a dearth of Indian comics creators and proper comic artists as there were no proper training facilities to help understanding the medium properly. Also the contemporary comics culture in India didn`t directly encourage people to take up comics as a profession. Moreover, due to further technical problems, the venture was terminated.

Manojit Chattopadhyay conducted several workshops on comics in various colleges and institutes in West Bengal with the objective of spreading awareness about comics. During August 2006, he formed a new team with talented writers and illustrators, who created several stories and designed original characters for comics and animation. In 2007, he re-established Kriyetic Comics and the first issue of the re-invented Kriyetic were published in December 2007. This marked the emergence of contemporary comics in Bengal and garnered positive reviews and appreciation from the media as well as from the readers.

Publications of Kriyetic Comics
Kriyetic Comics magazine has already published 7 issues containing several stories on different genres. Some of the most admired stories are discussed below-

Man in the Mirror
It is a noir thriller where a man encounters a wounded person who has supposedly commited a crime. It is written by Sameer Das and illustrated by Avik Maitra.

Vengeance is Mine
It is a thrilling story created by Harsho Mohan Chattoraj.

Axe of the Immortal
This story recounts the tales of Lord Parashurama in his early years. It is written by Sameer Das and illustrated by Deepak Sharma.

The Hunt
The hunt is created by Avik Maitra and is about a hunter encountering a pack of lions.

Deja vu
It is a supernatural thriller where a man encounters another version of himself inside his apartment, created by Harsho Mohan Chattoraj, along with Manojit Chattopadhyay.

Ueriber Saga
It is created by Harsho Mohan Chattoraj and revolved around the assassination of an cruel king by his suppressed civilians.

Punu Series
Punu is based on the experiences of the author from the memory of her childhood days. The series is adapted from the novel Nijer Boi, written by Purnashashi Mukhopadhyay and illustrated by Dhruvojyoti Chatterjee.

Jongoler Baire
It is a tale of a leopard that gets trapped in the city after escaping the hands of poachers and is conceptualized and illustrated by Ritwick Roy.

Shesh Juddho
It is a sci-fi action thriller written by Dipayan Chatterjee and illustrated by Abhinava Saha. The story revolves around a troop of soldiers who are on a mission to rescue the minister`s daughter from terrorists.

Uribbas Columbus
It is created by Sujog Bannerjee and revolves around the many adventures of a mischievous boy named Columbus.

Fattu and the Fantedon
It is a sci-fi story about an underdog boy named Fattu who discovers alien equipment. The story is conceived by Soumya Banerjee and illustrated by Ritwick Roy.

Baranasir Dant
It is a Japanese manga comic written by Yukichi Yamamatsu and illustrated by Eijiro Sawamoto. The story centres on the state of elephants in ancient India and the revolt of the elephants against the humans.

Aguntuk
It is a sci-fi adventure about a group of mountaineers who encounter a ravaged spaceship on top of the isolated mountain peaks. It is written by Dipayan Chatterjee and illustrated by Abhinava Saha.

Supur
It is an illustrated story about successfully defending Borgi attack in Bengal, near Supur village.

Kriyetic is the first Indian comics magazine to publish original Manga comics in India, namely The Last Orange and Baranasir Dant, created by Japanese Manga artists. The Last Orange is created by Mizonordota Muzu no Uta. Moreover, there is also a section named Comicschool, which showcases comics created and submitted by school students. The stories include Hellscream, Norator, Inferno etc. Some of the future projects include-

Morgue
This is a gripping supernatural thriller about a doctor who finds the undead raising to attack, which will reveal the horrible truth of her existence. It is based on story by Bijaya Chowdhury, scripted by Dipayan Chatterjee and illustrated by Abhinava Saha.

Sujog Sandhani
It is based on satiric and humorous escapades of a pseudo intelligent character, created by Sujog Banerjee.

Suryakanta
It is a tale of a hero fighting the dark powers that almost swallowed the whole kingdom, written and illustrated by Jaydeep Das.

Kolkata Kolkata
This is a thriller about a salesman who mystically travels to pre-independent India and is accused of murder. It is written by Dipayan Chatterjee and illustrated by Abhinava Saha.

Other future projects include Vajra, Tulanaheen, O Mantra Mosai, etc.

Creators of Kriyetic Comics
Kriyetic Comics comprises of a core team of talented writers, artists, designers as well as a technical support team. Some of the members of the core team, other than Manojit himself, include Abhinava Saha, Dipayan Chatterjee, Dhruvojyoti Chatterjee, Kuntal De, Gopal Samata, Vaishali Mallick, Soumya Bannerjee, Sujog Bannerjee, Shyam Naskar and others.

Kriyetic Comics magazine has the vision of creating "Comics for All" as it is a strong visual medium and there is adequate need of spreading awareness. There are further plans to improve the comics in future, like publishing a collection of comics in book form. Moreover, Kriyetic is set to conduct more workshops on comics in order to promote comics as a whole.
