Koteeswara Iyer was a renowned Carnatic musician who was inclined to music from a very young age.

Koteeswara Iyer, Indian Music ComposerKoteeswara Iyer was born on January 1870. He is a popular composer of Carnatic Music, and the grandson of Kavi Kunjara Bharati. He was inclined to music from a very young age, and took training in music under Poochi Srinivasa Iyengar and Patnam Subramania Iyer. He also composed music in Tamil language and also used the mudra Kavi Kunjara Dasan in tribute to his grandfather. He is also one of the first vaggeyakara who composed songs in all the 72 Melakartha Ragas. His contribution to the illustration of vivadhi ragas is invaluable.

Koteeswara Iyer died in on 21st October in the year 1936.
