With an ardent mission of providing students an ambience enriched in knowledge and learning, it nurtures extracurricular activities amongst them also. Kirori Mal College initiates an expedition for knowledge that is grounded on ethical and sensitive understanding of the world and the desire of being socially responsible. This spirit is highlighted not only in the academic ambiance of the college but also visible in every aspect of all the college activities. In other words, Kirori Mal College has excelled in its activities in the arena of theatre, art and music apart from the educational exuberance. It stands as an institution which perfectly combines many things in one-- social activities, creative thinking and learning in every discipline in every nook and corner of Kirori Mal College.

Over the years, the college has built up an impressive array of academic facilities such as a fully computerised library, a state of the art computer centre and an active placement cell. The key endeavour is to make individuals more mature, responsible and socially aware.

Departments like Bengali, Statistics, Geography, English, Hindi, Mathematics, Physical Education, Physics, Library, Computer Science, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Chemistry, Political Science, Zoology, Economics, Commerce, History, Botany has achieved a grand success, supported by a team of efficient and competent faculty members.

The well-stocked library of Kirori Mal College, the N.S. Pradhan Memorial Library is earmarked as the most widespread library established within any college under Delhi University. Apart from sufficing to the demands and requirements of students, it has a huge stock of books for pleasure reading and books of general awareness- particularly in the industrial sector. It is fully computerised, housing about 1.5 lakh books. It has a wonderful reading capacity for accommodating nearly three hundred and fifty students.

All the science departments have laboratories that are updated, well stocked and adeptly supervised. A beautiful auditorium was built in 1954 inside the college premises as an integral part of the main building. The fully computerised computer centre gives scope to the students to remain updated with the varying trends in the industrial sector. The seminar room offers up-to-date and best facilities that any institute can provide. The canteen provides healthy food and beverages at reasonable costs. The Oriental Bank of commerce also has opened its branch within Kirori Mal College so that students can receive banking facilities.

Kirori Mal College provides hostel facilities. There are eighty-nine rooms where nearly one hundred and seventy students both from the country and abroad can be accommodated as an integral part of the college family. Students whose parents do not reside in Delhi are only eligible to apply.

Kirori Mal College offers courses in undergraduate level. Commerce students can enroll themselves in the B.Com. (Pass) course. B.A. Programme and B.A. (Hons.) curriculum is offered in English, Hindi, History, Geography, Political Sc., Economics, Sanskrit and Urdu. The B.Sc course comprises Physical Science, Applied Science (Computers), Life Science, Applied Science (Analytical chemistry). B.Sc. (Hons) is offered in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Statistics.
