Best Time to Visit Khirsu
The panoramic belt of Khirsu receives the subtropical climate. The best seasons to visit Pauri and the surrounding areas are August to November and March to June. December to February is rather cold and July to August rainy and inhospitable. The maximum temperature is around 45 degree and minimum is around 29 degree Celsius. From October to January are winters, where temperature varies from 25 degree to 0 degree Celsius. September and October are months for those in search of flowers and more flowers.

Pauri: Situated at an elevation of 1814 m above sea level on the northern slopes of Kandoliya hills provide a panoramic view of snow clad Himalaya peaks.
Deval Garh: Established in the 14th century, it was capital of Garhwal Rajas before being shifted to Srinagar. The temples of Goddess Raj Rajeswari and ruins of an old palace are unique example of architecture of Garhwal.
Ulkha Giri: Situated on Pauri - Khirsu motor road, this place commands a magnificent view of mountain and valleys at an altitude of 1900 m.
Kandoliya Temple: Dedicated to Kandoliya Devta, it is situated only 2km from the main Pauri town. There is a stadium on top of this mountain which is visited by numerous travellers every year because it is Asia"s highest stadium. Kandoliya is also famous for its sunset views.

Kyunkaleshwar Mahadev: It is an 8th century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva offering astonishing views of the snow laden Himalayas. It is believed Adi Shankaracharya raised this historic shrine while his visit to Pauri.

How to Reach Khirsu Hill Station
The place is well connected via road, rail and air to access this hill station. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant, which is located 145 km away. A maximum 6 hours road journey from airport to Khirsu is required to be covered. Several buses and taxis are frequently available to reach Khirsu. The place is well connected by motorable roads to all the major towns of the region. Kotdwar is the nearest railway station located 115 kilometers from Khirsu.
