Kay Kay Menon is a well known Indian actor who has received critical acclamations for his powerful portrayal of varied roles in Bollywood movies. His commendable acting skills have established him as one of the most versatile actors of Indian film industry. Early Life of Kay Kay Menon
Kay Kay Menon was born on 2nd October 1966 in Kerala. He was raised in Ambarnath and Pune, Maharashtra. Kay Kay Menon spent his early life in "H" type Rangehills, Khadki, known as factory quarters for those working in the ammunition and high explosives factories. His father was popularly known as Cashier Menon while he himself was popular as `Kichu` among friends. He studied at the St Joseph`s Boys high school in Khadki. He completed his graduation from Mumbai University in Physics and did his MBA from the Department of Management Science - University of Pune with a major in Marketing.
Career of Kay Kay Menon
Kay Kay Menon had the initial goal of working in the advertising industry, but eventually he started his career in theatre productions. He has also worked for different brands like Marlboro Cigarettes and Kinetic Honda. Gradually he moved to television acting and finally in the bigger ground of film acting. Kay Kay Menon worked in TV serials such as Pradhan Mantri and telefilms like Zebra 2 and Last Train to Mahakali during his initial years of career. Due to the experience of theatre, Kay Kay Menon had the choice to do more of parallel films than the commercial ones. Menon made his film debut with Naseem (1995), followed by Bhopal Express.
However, the real turning point in Kay Kay Menon`s career came with the Sudhir Mishra`s film Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi where he was greatly appreciated. He also starred in Deewaar (2004) with Amitabh Bachchan. The film did not do much good in the box office but his performance was appreciated. He became a known name after he was featured as Bachchan`s son in Sarkar (2005). The film was a box office hit and his character as a hot-tempered son proved to be credible to the audience.
In 2006, Kay Kay Menon starred in the well-known film Corporate by Madhur Bhandarkar. The film brought him much acclaim for the performance alongside the established actress Bipasha Basu. Kay Kay Menon`s performance as the tormented DCP Rakesh Maria in the movie Black Friday has been widely appreciated and complimented. The movie was based on the book by journalist S Hussain Zaidi on the 1993 Bombay Bomb Blasts. Black Friday was featured at the Locarno film festival and thus received widespread praise. He also appeared in Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., opposite Raima Sen and acted out the character of an orthodox and conservative husband at its best. In 2007, Kay Kay Menon acted in the commercially and critically successful film Life in a Metro as the husband of Shilpa Shetty and the film was based on diverse relationships. In 2008, Kay Kay Menon was highly praised for his performance in the film Shaurya. He has also starred in Drona in a villainous role and in The Stoneman Murders (2009) where he played the role of a police officer on the hunt for the Stoneman, a serial killer.
In 2011, Kay Kay Menon appeared in the films Bheja Fry 2, along with Vinay Pathak and Minissha Lamba. His other movies include Chaalis Chourasi, Shahid, Enemmy, ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, Ankur Arora Murder Case and many more.

Kay Kay Menon is married to TV actress Nivedita Bhattacharya whom he met during his theatre days.
