Karjat is a small town in Raigad District of Maharashtra. This spot is not a religious town but also gives a scope to offer the adventure tourism, nature tourism and leisure tourism and the place of shooting of several films. Karjat is a tahsil -taluk in Maharashtra and is situated in the Asthavinayak Lord Ganesha belt region. It is also popular for pleasure visits during the monsoon season.

Kajrat is located on Bhor Ghat of Sahyadri in the Western Ghats Mountain Range in India as well as at the end of coastal plains of Konkan Coastal region near Deccan Mountain Range. It has an average elevation of 194 metres (636 ft). It lies on the banks of the Ulhas River.

Nitin Chandrakant Desai`s ND Studioss was established in 2005. It is a major stopover attraction for Karjat tourists and films are shot here. Karjat is also a trekking destination. It offers plenty of trails, ranging from medium to very demanding. The undulating hilly terrain and lofty slopes make it an ideal spot for trekking enthusiasts. The three prominent trekking trails lead to Matheran via Rambagh point, Peth Fort, and Chanderi Fort. Other tourist attractions in this region are Ulhas River, Bhor Ghat, Kondana Caves, Peth Fort and many other spots.
