Karan Patel is an Indian television actor. He is mainly recognised by his role of "Robbie Sabarwal", a protagonist in the daily soap "Kasturi" on STAR Plus. Currently he is seen playing the role of "Raman Kumar Bhalla" in Ekta Kapoor"s Indian soap opera "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" opposite Divyanka Tripathi. Karan Patel married Ankita Bhargava on 3rd May 2015 in Mumbai.
Early Life of Karan Patel
Karan Patel was born on 23rd November 1983 in Kolkata, West Bengal. He is a Gujarati. He did his schooling at Utpal Shanghvi School in the Juhu suburb of Mumbai and graduated from Mithibai College, Mumbai. He attended the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute and the University of the Arts, London. He has also attended Shiamak Davar"s dance classes.
Career of Karan Patel
Karan Patel starred in the STAR Plus series "Kasturi", where he played "Robbie Sabarwal", his first lead role. Previously, he played a number of roles in Balaji Telefilms. His first role was in "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii" where he played "Vigyat". He has also worked in "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" and "Kasamh Se".
Currently Karan Patel is working in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" and has won the "2014 Zee Gold Award" for "Best Actor". He is playing male lead of "Raman Kumar Bhalla", an extremely successful businessman opposite Divyanka Tripathi and Anita Hassanandani. He was last seen in "Survivor India" and in the dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhla Jaa"s Season 6". He is also seen as host in "Nach Baliye Season 7". Karan Patel made his debut in Bollywood with "City of Gold" in 2010 and after that he appeared in "Shootout at Wadala".
