Trekking to Kodi cliff is enjoyed by the adventure seekers. Bekal Fort also stands close to the beach where one can explore the events and facts of bygone eras. Pallikunnam temple, located at a distance of 2 kilometres, is frequented by several devotees. Kappil Bhagavathy temple is a Hindu temple standing nearby. Boating along the backwaters adjunct to the ocean and strolling over the bridge running across the Kappil Lake are other charms of the beach. Kappil Beach is mostly not much crowded and is thus perfect for relaxing in the arms of nature.

Visiting Information
Kappil Beach is best visited between the months of December and February as the weather remains pleasant during this time. It is situated 5 kilometres away from Bekal. The beach can be conveniently reached through railways and airways. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, 55 kilometres away, is the nearest airport while Varkala railway station, situated at a distance of 7 kilometres, serves as the nearest railway station. Buses and private cabs can be availed for accessing the beach.
