Kamal Kumar Majumdar (1914-1979) was the son of Prafullachandra Majumdar and Renukamoyee Majumdar. He spent his childhood and teenage years in Kolkata. He did his schooling from "Sikssha sangha" in Bishnupur. In 1937 he found a magazine called "Ushnish" where he wrote under several pen names. During 1944-45 he was devoted to painting.
