Kalindi College was established as a constituent college in 1967.

Kalindi College, East Patel Nagar, New DelhiSet up in 1967 by the then Delhi Administration, Kalindi college was a `constituent college` under Delhi University. In the days of its inception, it began functioning in a school building in Dev Nagar and later in 1970 it was shifted to its current location at East Patel Nagar in 1970. From a hub of learning in arts & science courses, within a time period of 3 decades, it grew as a primary institute of higher education boasting a team of teachers of more than 100. Total strength of students move up to be two thousand. Kalindi College offers an array of courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

At Undergraduate level, B.A(Hons.) courses are offered in various subjects like Economics, English, Hindi, History, Journalism, Political Science and Sanskrit. One also can pursue B. Sc (Hons) in subjects like Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Physical Sciences (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science), Life Sciences and Applied Life Sciences, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology , Biology, Environmental Science. B.A.(Pass) program is also offered. Commerce students can pursue courses like B.Com (Pass) and B.Com (Hons.). Eligible students also can opt for M.A. in subjects like Hindi, Political Science, Sanskrit.

Catering to the needs and demands of the people of present day society, the college now provides a wide variety of professional courses. It has an excellent infrastructure comprising a computer lab which is highly developed aiming to make the students competent enough for facing the global contest.
