Kakinada Beach Festival is a noted musical festival which is conducted in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, particularly in the region of Kakinada. The Kakinada Beach Festival, also known as Sagara Sambaralu, represents a significant music festival hosted in the city of Kakinada. This festival has been established as an annual celebration by the government of Andhra Pradesh in the year 2012. It continues for a period of three days and is quite interesting as it includes the live performances of several famous artists.
Initially recognized as Kakinada Beach and subsequently renamed as NTR Beach, this coastal locale stands as a favored destination among enthusiasts of seaside landscapes. Anticipated to draw a substantial influx of tourists, the event promises an array of attractions over its three-day duration. Particularly noteworthy is the presence of esteemed actors and guests from the Telugu Film Industry, serving as the focal point of attention. Kakinada Beach Festival 2014
Kakinada Beach Festival 2014 was conducted at the area of Vakalapudi for three days, starting from 11th January, 2014. It witnessed a very grand inauguration which was formally attended by dignitaries like Tota Narasimham, Union Minister M.M. Pallam Raju, district-in-charge Minister N.Raghuveera Reddy, Minister for Stamps, Minister for Tourism Vatti Vasanth Kumar, etc. It had been supervised by the administration of the East Godavari District who had aimed to enhance public awareness about the tourist destinations of the district.
Prior to the commencement of the festival, a 5-km run was organised by the district officials belonging to the District Sports Authority Stadium to Bhanu Gudi Junction. Various kinds of cultural programmes were held by the regional musicians and artists at the Kakinada Beach which went on for three days. Traditional food dishes, handicrafts and handlooms were manufactured at the Kakinada Beach Festival, which were amongst the main attractions of the music event.
