Objective of Kakatiya Medical College (KMC)
The principal objective of the Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), Warangal District of Telangana is to provide Medical education for students of the Telangana region of the state. Now Telangana is a newly formed state in India. The then Honourable Minister of Health, Government of India, Sri P. Karnakar inaugurated the college on 23rd July 1959.

Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), Warangal was located in a building donated by the Pingile family at Waddepally, in its initial period and it was shifted to its permanent site in November 1961.

The permanent campus of the Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India, Mrs. Indira Gandhi in 1966. The college has earned recognition as one of the premier medical institutes in Andhra Pradesh, over the years and it admits 150 students each year. The students are admitted in Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), Warangal, through a competitive examination called the EAMCET (Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) held throughout Andhra Pradesh.
