K. Street Pali Hill is another popular Balaji productions and is the story of three friends namely Bikram Kaul, Aditya Khandelwal and Arindam Keshab who share the same address. They are regarded as the premiere business moghuls of India and have set a huge business empire. They put up in a sprawling mansion and their wives also get along very well with each other and there is no amount of rivalry between them in the initial periods. Their kids are also very fond of one another.
There is everything that they have including money, power and fame and they also shares each and every secret of their lives but that there is one secret which started to cast shadows in the initial stages. In this perfect dream world everything seems to enjoy its perfect mood except the old dilapated outhouse that casts its evil shadow on the mansion. The three pals regard the outhouse as the foundation of their success and also the keeper of their secret. Only three of them know its past.
The fact that K.Street Pali Hill is slotted at such a late night also had an interesting point attached to it. It was mainly intended to tap the male audience and the theme of the plot was definitely skewed towards the guys. The sets of the soap are also touted as the most expensive and glamorous set made till date on Indian television and the total expenses amounted to Rs.25 to 30 million. This soap also does have the family saga hangover and as it based on the life of three businessmen it is sure to click with the male folk as well.
The launch of this soap was also done in a magnificent manner and also saw a programming innovation of sorts. The male and the female lead of the another Balaji late-night daily `Kahiin To Hoga` Sujal (played by Rajeev Khandelwal) and Kashish (played by Amna Sharif) was seen introducing the characters and launching the serial to the small screen viewers. K. Street Pali Hill also brings together some of the very popular faces of the small screen. The three friends name Bikram, Aditya and Arindam were played by Vikram Kapadia, Riitu Raaj and Mukul Dev respectively. There was also a very seasoned supporting cast.
The electronic background score provided by Viju Shah added an extra zing to the whole soap. The soap starts off well with an interesting story line but soon after the story turned into the usual vampish plot with the schemers always ready to hatch evil plans. The one fact common to this soap also is the instance of polygamy. The degradation of characters is very distinct here as well which gives the story a setback after some time. But if considered from the overall point of view then K.Street Pali Hill provided some sort of relief from the typical `saans-bahu` dramas. A bit more modification of the plot and story line would have instilled much more sense in the soap and the audience also would have enjoyed it even better.
