In the Hindu calendar, Jyeshta is a lunar month. Jyeshta is also known as Jeth or Iethe.

Jyeshta is considered to be the third month of the year which begins from 21st May and ends on 22nd June. Jyeshta is again the name of one of the twenty-seven Nakshatras or lunar mansions.

Jyeshta is related with high summer, and corresponds to May and June months. On one hand in lunar traditional calendars, Jyeshta may begin on either the new moon or the full moon around the same time of year, and is usually the third month of the year. Again on the other hand, in social religious calendars, the Jyeshta month begins with the Sun`s entrance into Taurus, and is generally represented as the second month of the year.
